Yes, it’s important to have key staff join. This would include your executive director, your director of development if you have one, and anyone else who works with the board on fundraising.
It takes under an hour to initiate your membership and, after that, you can invest as little or as much time as you’d like. Besides inputting new board member and staff names and emails as they arise, you don’t have to lift a finger. However, to get the most out of Board Fundraising Pro you will want to follow the prompts over time, including recommendations for conversations to have at board meetings and individually with board members.
That is totally up to you and your board. To read the various materials and participate in the webinar (or watch the recording) would take about an hour each month. If board members stick to reading Monday Morning Board Matters and the newsletter, and watching the short monthly video, that’s probably 30 minutes of their time. If you’d like to bring them up to speed more quickly, we can guide you through building your own self-led training of 2-4 hours.
